Meghan Markle avoids 'indignity of royal birth' with a false statement

Meghan Markle allegedly provided a false statement about the birth of her son Archie to avoid media attention.

Royal author Valentine Low wrote in his forthcoming book Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown that the birth came amid "a series of battles with the media that spring and summer".

The author claimed that an insider spilled the beans, the duchess's private secretary Sam Cohen was happy to leave the job at the time.

“Sam always made it clear that it was like working for a couple of teenagers. They were impossible and pushed her to the limit. She was unhappy,” the source said.

Valentine said a friend of Sam's shared that the secretary was fed up with "having to constantly fight for Harry and Meghan while taking all the abuse from them".

Fiona Mcilwham was Meghan's new secretary, who wanted to help the Suits alum get "cultural differences."

"It didn't take long for the shine to wear off," claimed Valentine.

“When Archie was due in May, Meghan was determined to avoid an undignified royal birth with journalists camped outside the hospital.

"The palace issued a statement that the duchess had given birth only to give birth later than she had actually given birth eight hours earlier," the source added.
